Plan to kill the General by depriving him of his medicine

2010-02-08
The Defence Ministry has not responded to a request made by General Sarath Fonseka’s wife, Anoma Fonseka, through the CID to make arrangements to provide the General who is in military custody with the medicine he needs to take every six hours.

The General had been asked to take these medicines by doctors through his life following the internal injuries received by him during a suicide attack on him when he was Army Commander.

Anome Fonseka told Lanka News Web that if the General missed taking the medicine for 18 hours, the doctors have warned of severe consequences.
