Renuka to be appointed Film Corporation Chairman? |

Transport Minister Dullas Alahapperuma has requested the President to appoint Renuka Balasuriya as the Chairman of the National Film Corporation and the President has given a positive response to the request, sources from Temple Trees said.
A popular children’s film producer, Renuka Balasuriya and her husband Somaratne Dissanayake played an active role in the President’s election campaign.
Sources said that apart from Renuka Balasuriya, well known artistes like Jackson Anthony, Sriyantha Mendia, Ravindra Randeniya and Malini Fonseka are also tipped to be appointed as chairmen of various corporations.
