Sudden transfer to Welikada OIC and ASP |

Welikada OIC Neville Silva and Welikada ASP Nishantha Soysa have been transferred with immediate effect.
The two police officers are yet to receive in writing the reason for their transfer. Police sources said the transfers have been made due to the unbiased inquiry held by them into the bomb attack on SLFP (M) Wing National Organizer Tiran Alles’ residence and for speaking with Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe, General Sarath Fonseka and former President Chandrika Kumaratunge when they arrived at Alles’ residence.
The state media continued to say that the bomb attack was planned and carried out to place the government in difficulty. An opposition parliamentarian said that if that were the case, the government should encourage the
