Sri Lankan journalists overseas form new organization |

Sinhalese and Tamil journalists currently living overseas formed a new organization called Journalists for Democracy in Sri Lanka in Berlin, Germany on the 18th.
About 20 Sri Lankan journalists living in Western European countries like Germany, England, France, Switzerland and Austria gathered in Berlin and after holding a day long discussion, formed the new organization.
The key focus of this organization is to help reinstate democracy in the country and help journalists and media institutions in the country that are under threat, help create an environment where journalists can carry out their work without any obstacles and to gather information and provide legal assistance to the
