CID Director Mahesh Perera has handed over MP Kudu Duminda’s personal mobile phone that was in his possession during the shooting incident in Mulleriyawa that resulted in the death of Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra and four others to Defence Secretary Nandasena Gotabhaya Rajapaksa yesterday evening.

Although the investigation into the Mulleriyawa shooting incident has been handed over to the CID, the mobile phone has not been included in the Production Records and not presented to courts on a directive by the Defence Secretary.

Also, the weapons produced before courts in relation to the shooting incident are 14 weapons that had not been used in the shoot out.
