Addressing the Thamil Eelam Solidarity Organisation (TESO) summit conference held in India's Tamilnadu the NSSP general secretary said that the Sri Lankan people are prepared to implement the recommendations Lessons Learnt and Reconcilliations Commission (LLRC).

Comrade Vickramabahu Karunaratne, the only Sri Lankan political leader to address the TESO conference held on the12th of August added that the Mahinda Rajapaksa regime will be ousted by the people If it carries on with its Sinhala racist policies and a government prepared to implement the LLRC recommendations will be brought to power in Sri Lanka.

"The Mahinda regime, supported by India in his genocidal war, has not done anything to implement the political recommendations of the LLRC report. Instead he is building roads, hotels and other structures for the benefit of Multi National Corporations grabbing the land of Tamils. There is no consultation even with Tamil National Alliance parliamentarians. Military is everywhere and military rule is supreme.

However we are campaigning against this set up. The protest of the opposition which includes the United National Party, Tamil National Alliance, Democratic Peoples Front, and the left is having success in actions and meetings. We all agree with the LLRC recommendations and demand its full implementation. The NSSP believes that this will be a serious step towards autonomy for the Tamil homeland.

Today the government is unpopular and opposition has been able to mobilize trade unions, peasant movements, fishers associations and students. If Mahinda continues with his chauvinist oppressive policies he will be thrown out and a government that will implement LLRC could come to power.” Comrade Bahu told thousands convening at the YMCA grounds in Chennai.
