President’s astrologer and Working Director of the National Savings Bank, Sumanadasa has said the President has decided to hold a Cabinet reshuffle after the New Year. He has told these to a group of employees at the Presidential Secretariat.
Sumanadasa has said the President changed his previous decision to hold a Cabinet reshuffle earlier in the year following his advice. He has said that the President has been informed by him that an auspicious time to carry out such a reshuffle was approaching soon.
He has added that the President has allocated monies from the President’s Fund for him to receive medical treatment at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.
Meanwhile, two of the President’s most trusted public officials, Treasury Secretary Dr. P.B. Jayasundera and Additional Presidential Secretary Gamini Senarath have also impressed upon the President the need for a Cabinet reshuffle. They have proposed a definite change in the External Affairs Ministry and have said that if needed a person should be got into parliament for the purpose. They have explained that a person suitable to hold the office should be brought to parliament through the National List if required.
