A protest with the participation of Tamil from all over the world has been organized by the Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam (TGTE) in Geneva on February 27th when the sessions of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) are to commence.

The second protest is scheduled to be held on March 5th and is organized by the Tamil Coordinating Committee in Switzerland. It is this committee that organized a massive protest attended by about 5,000 Tamils during the UNHRC sessions last September.

The first week of the UNHRC session is the High level Segment that will be attended by state heads, ministers and ambassadors. TNA Leader R. Sampanthan and several party representatives are to also attend the sessions from Sri Lanka.
