Army questions child after dipping him in water

  A group of soldiers who had entered into a house at Rock House Garden in Modera had dipped a seven year old child in a water drain near the house to find out the where abouts of the child's father and the house owner in order to arrest him.

REHABILITATION OF KANKESANTHURAI HARBOUR

(Mr. T.S. Tirumurti, Joint Secretary(BSM), Ministry of External Affairs, India and Mr. Arvind Kumar, Head(Ports), M/s RITES exchanging an Agreement on the preparation of DPR for the rehabilitation of the Kankesanthurai Harbour in Sri Lanka)
  The Ministry of External Affairs of India has today signed an Agreement with RITES Limited for Consultancy Services on the preparation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR) and the conduct of geo-technical Investigations for the rehabilitation of the Kankesanthurai Harbour in Sri Lanka. The cost of preparation of the DPR and geo-technical investigations (approximately SLR 70 million) will be met by the Government of India. The Report will focus on the rehabilitation of the existing breakwater and pier and the construction of one new pier, as well as the provision of ancillary facilities and navigational aids.
