Auditor General reveals that People’s Bank had given Rs. 163 million to Triad without approval

The Auditor General has prominently stated in the People’s Bank audit report released last May that the Bank had given Rs. 163,891,818 to the Triad Advertising Agencyw owned by Dilith Jayaweera and Varuni Amunugama without any board approval or any agreement.
The Auditor General’s report states that when listing Triad as a customer of People’s Bank, the Bank had not followed the stipulated procedures. Following are the relevant pages from the audit report.
