Acting UNP Leader Karu Jayasruiya has called on the IGP to hold an investigation into the death of Rienzie Algama, who set himself ablaze opposite Sirikotha and later succumbed to his injuries, due to the contradicting statements made by police officers and the media.
Algama’s funeral took place on Wednesday (28) evening in his hometown Weligama and Jayasuriya had requested UNPers to attend the funeral.
