| We reliably understand that the son of Gotabhaya Rajapakse has recently joined the National Aeronautical and Space Agency (NASA) of the United States of America, where his father is a citizen, to be trained as an Astronaut. If he succeeds in his training, he will be the very first Sri Lankan to go to the space as an Astronaut.
Although this will be a pride to Sri Lanka, no other Sri Lankan was able to achieve this feat due to the extremely high cost of such training running into tens of hundreds of millions, stated a senior member of parliament from the UNP. |
