Military sources say many senior military officers have decided to retire from service due to the shock and displeasure in the manner in which the government treated General Sarath Fonseka who played a key role in the war against the LTTE, soon after the military victory.
The military officers who have decided to retire were all involved in active military operations during the war against the LTTE.
