Mr. Bandara was taken away by the C.I.D. officers, saying that they need to clarify a news article which was published in weekend sinhala news paper ' Irudina"- a sister paper of " Sunday Leader".

Mr. Bandara was the key speaker of the workshop held recently, organised by the Media & Propaganda Committe of UNP, in which he told that, Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe's planatary position geting better in the near future and he would be captured the power in next September.
